About

Cafe Maiasmokk (Estonian for 'sweet lip') is the oldest café in Tallinn and likely in all of Estonia, tracing its roots to a 1806 bakery on the same spot. The present luxurious Art Nouveau interior, including its painted glass ceiling, dates to 1913. The café produces fresh pastries, confectionery, and handmade sweets on site, and houses working marzipan-painting facilities. Today it is operated as a subsidiary of Orkla Estonia. The upstairs Otto Kubo and Georg Stude rooms are available for private events.
